approach to the encoding of variant and rare characters in premodern Chinese
texts.
This is a revised and slightly expanded version of a talk held at Academia
Sinica in Taipei on March 7th, 1997. It gives some background on the reasonings
behind KanjiBase. At the end (Table 5) is a detailed statistical breakdown
of the character frequency of the texts on the ZenBase CD1.
