PRINCIPLES
FOUR MAJOR MISSIONS

Chung-Hwa Institute of Buddhist Studies remained focusing on research after moving the educational responsibility to the newly established Dharma Drum Buddhist College in 2007. In order to carry on the compassionate aspiration hold by the founder, Master Shen Yen, four major missions were established: digitizing archives, academic research, publications, and international exchanges. As an important research facility in Chinese Buddhism, the Institute strives to contribute to global research.
