Research findings in Buddhist studies and publication platforms complement each other. Striving to spread Chinese Buddhism, the Chung-Hwa Institute of Buddhist Studies publishes research related to Chinese Buddhism in various categories. In addition to providing a channel to publish academic articles and monographs, famous Chinese Buddhist masters and their collected writings with or without annotations comprised another series. Furthermore, profound discussions on Buddhism in languages other than Chinese will be translated to provide easy access to the wisdom of international Buddhist researchers.

The Institute publishes two academic annual journals: Chung-Hwa Buddhist Journal( Journal of Chinese Buddhist Studies 《中華佛學學報》and Chung-Hwa Buddhist Studies (《中華佛學研究》).       Harking back to the China Academy Graduate School of Buddhist Studies era under the College of Chinese Culture between 1968 and 1985,   Hwakang Buddhist Journal (《華岡佛學學報》)was published.
